Dr. Schrauben grew up in mid-Michigan and graduated from Fowler High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and received his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2006 after completing his Ocular Disease Internship at the Hefner Veterans Hospital in Salisbury North Carolina.
Dr. Schrauben practiced for 10 years in the Detroit area, working in a high paced ophthalmology practice before moving on to private practice. He was and is thrilled to join the Rule Eye Care team in June of 2016.
Dr. Schrauben’s areas of interest are Multifocal Contact Lens Fitting, Diabetic Eye Disease, Dry Eye Syndrome and Ocular Surface Disease, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataract Management and Pre/Post-op Refractive Surgery care.
Memberships include American Optometric Association, Michigan Optometric Association, and past author of the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the AOA.
